Power to the People: Hyde Park

Please join the ACLU of Illinois, ACLU UChicago Harris School Student Chapter, and OUTPolitik on Wednesday, February 25, 2026 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at The Keller Center (1307 E 60th St., Chicago, IL 60637) for a community town hall  on how the ACLU and our partners are responding to federal abuses of power by the Trump administration and the role you can play in defending our civil rights and liberties.

This event is designed to bring students and community members together to share concerns about the Administration’s efforts to wield federal power without meaningful checks and balances from Congress or the courts, and the real harm these reckless and unlawful policies are having on our communities.

The program will focus on the inhumane immigration enforcement activities taking place across Illinois, how the ACLU and our partners are responding, and how recent federal court rulings have impacted the situation. There will also be space for questions, opportunities to take action, and time to connect with others who share your concerns during this pivotal moment for our country.

Light refreshments will be provided. We hope you can join us!
