Power to the People: Belmont Cragin

Please join the ACLU of Illinois and Onward Neighborhood House on Monday, March 23 from 6:30-8 PM in Belmont Cragin for a community town hall on what the ACLU, Onward House, and our partners are doing in response to the federal abuse of power from the Trump administration and what role you can play in the fight ahead.

The event is designed to allow supporters to gather to express concerns about the Trump Administration’s effort to wield all federal power without checks and balances of Congress or the courts – and the harm that Trump’s reckless and lawless policies are having on our communities.

The program will feature updates on the legal, legislative, and community-based efforts led by the ACLU, Onward House, and our partners to confront and challenge these policies here in Chicago and throughout Illinois. We will also discuss direct, pragmatic actions that each of us can take to protect civil rights and civil liberties in our own communities, as well as the state and federal level. And, you’ll have a chance to talk with others who share your concerns about Trump’s actions.

Space is limited for the event, and we encourage you to register today! Light refreshments will be provided.
