Power to the People: Barrington

Join the ACLU of Illinois, ACLU of Illinois Greater Barrington Community Group, and Indivisible Barrington on Saturday, August 8, 2026 from 1:30 PM – 3:30 PM at the Barrington Area Library (505 N Northwest Hwy, Barrington, IL 60010) for a community town hall focused on voting rights and the upcoming 2026 Midterm election. Participating organizations will also be tabling and providing resources at the event. 

During this program, you'll hear updates on the legal, legislative, and grassroots efforts underway to protect voters' rights and safeguard our elections. We will discuss the challenges ahead, what they're doing to meet this moment, and the practical ways you can make a difference before, during, and after Election Day. 

Following the discussion, attendees will have the opportunity to meet with participating organizations during a resource fair, connect with neighbors and advocates, and discover meaningful ways to get involved in their communities.
