David Rothenberg “Namedropping”

A special performance for the NYCLU

Directed by Marcia Jean Kurtz

David Rothenberg reminisces about his long career as theatrical publicist and producer, offering stories of his work with theatrical and film legends like Bette Davis, Richard Burton, Elizabeth Taylor, Alvin Ailey, among many others.

"Rothenberg's recollection, his experiences with names above the title, gives us the pleasure of entering a world of glamour...he is outgoing, a man of great charm and warmth, all of which is apparent in NAMEDROPPING. Apart from the many years of valiant service in the trenches of Broadway, Rothenberg founded The Fortune Society, which helps men and women released from prison. I can use the phrase "coming to a theatre near you" and urge you to see it.
       NY Daily News

"Namedropping " lives up to its title. Anyone who likes show business will enjoy this show...Like the stars he talks about, Rothenberg has a way with an audience...He does not wear out his welcome.
