ACLU Lobby Day
Join fellow ACLU of Minnesota supporters to fight for our civil rights on ACLU-MN Lobby Day.
Lobby Day starts with a rally in the state Capitol Rotunda at 10 a.m. Then we'll all break up into groups and talk to our individual legislators about key civil liberty bills up for a possible vote this year such as:
- Restoring the vote.
- Caps on probationary sentences.
- Reforming fines and fees that disproportionately hurt people with low-incomes and people of color.
- Digital privacy.
- Fixing a broken forfeiture system that encourages law enforcement to "police for profit."
- Immigrant rights.
All participants get a free ACLU-MN T-shirt!
If you live in Southern Minnesota we have a FREE bus bringing people to the Capitol. It will stop in Worthington, St. James, Mankato, and St. Peter. Please indicate below in the bus sign-up section if you would like to reserve a spot on the bus.
