The Carl L. Wedekind Bill of Rights Dinner
The ACLU of Kentucky is thrilled to once again host the Carl L. Wedekind Bill of Rights Dinner on Thursday, November 5, 6 – 9 p.m. at the Frazier Kentucky History Museum.
The Carl L. Wedekind Bill of Rights Dinner is an evening dedicated to celebrating the enduring fight for civil liberties and the people who make that work possible across Kentucky. At a time when so many of our fundamental rights are being challenged in courts, classrooms, communities, and legislatures, the moment felt right to bring this event back after more than a decade since we've gathered for a Bill of Rights Dinner.
The evening will bring together advocates, community leaders, supporters, and Kentuckians who believe in the promise of freedom, equality, and justice for all. Together, we will reflect on the victories we've achieved, honor the legacy of those who paved the way, and look toward the future we are continuing to build together.
We are especially honored to welcome keynote speaker Deborah Archer, President of the National American Civil Liberties Union, where she serves as Chair of the Board of Directors and Executive Committee. She is a tenured professor and associate dean at New York University School of Law and the faculty director of the Community Equity Lab at NYU Law. Deborah is a nationally recognized legal scholar and leading expert on civil rights, civil liberties, and racial justice.
Our goal is to raise $350,000 to power our critical work. To make that happen, we need your help.
The ACLU-KY Development staff will reach out after you purchase your sponsorship to confirm guest names and meal choices.
