Reserve your tickets for the 2022 Kandler Awards Celebration

Each year, we remember Gerry Kandler, former president of ACLU Delaware, and honor the work of members of the community who exemplify his tireless commitment to the defense of all Delawareans’ civil liberties.

We are thrilled this year to be honoring Corie Priest, Community Engagement Program Administrator at the Delaware Department of Justice, and Rebecca Lowe, Adult Program Coordinator & Development Director at the Lewes Public Library and Co-Founder of Women's March Sussex, for their accomplishments in Delaware. Both Corie and Rebecca embody a passion and motivation for justice just like Gerry Kandler’s unwavering commitment to the values of the ACLU. We are grateful to have such incredible leadership both in our ACLU past and present and to honor Corie and Rebecca during this year’s celebration.

We are once again holding a hybrid event. Our main celebration will take place in person in Hockessin, and another in-person celebration option will take place in Sussex County – or you can watch the event virtually from wherever you’d like.
