Grassroots Legislative Leadership Day - 2019

Join fellow Marylanders in an overview of our key legislative priorities, and plug into our statewide grassroots lobbying efforts that depend on YOUR leadership.

We need you, your family members, and your neighbors to make your voices and experiences heard in our State Capital in 2020.

Voting is very important, but it’s not the only way to make your voice heard. Last year, thanks to your grassroots support, we were able to prohibit solitary confinement for children, make headway on opportunities for women released from prison, secured initial education funding, and expanded voting rights. It’s time to come together and plan how to continue to protect our rights!

You will meet grassroots leaders from across the state. And you will hear from ACLU legislative and legal experts on our efforts for public safety, immigrant’s rights, the rights of Marylanders who are incarcerated, education equity, and more.

You will work with volunteer leaders from your county to build our statewide grassroots legislative teams, which will be complemented with ongoing digital and staffing support from our office.

The event is free to attend but donations are welcome.
