Host a viewing of "Ghosts of Abu Ghraib"

We know for a fact that when the American people learn of the abuses being carried out in their name, they will reject the use of torture and believe that our nation should uphold the rule of law. That is why the ACLU is calling on friends like you to help us educate and mobilize the public.

By hosting a screening of “Ghosts of Abu Ghraib,” you will increase awareness about the constitutional issues of torture, habeas corpus and due process that are essential to restore our Constitution. All you need to host a viewing is a DVD player, a TV and guests. We’ll provide you with the tools you need to have a meaningful discussion.

Hosting a screening involves inviting friends and family to join you in watching the documentary, “Ghosts of Abu Ghraib,” and engaging in a conversation about the effects of torture and what individuals can do to bring it to an end.

Step 1: Learn more about the film and the issues.

Step 2: Consider who you want to invite to your viewing, as well as, when and where it will take place. We will provide you resources for your viewing, including a DVD of “Ghosts of Abu Ghraib,” discussion guide, email invitations to send to friends and family, handouts and letters that participants can send to their members of Congress as well as their newspaper.

Step 3: Once you’ve considered all the elements needed to host a viewing, sign up and we’ll send you everything you need. Sign up here.
